Simplicity

I have been tunneling through questions and subjects and discussions in circles through my mind. How does God work? What do I need to know about Him? How much can I understand? When do I stop asking questions?

Questions can be oppressive. I was reminded of the verses in 2 Corinthians 11

For I feel a divine jealousy for you, since I betrothed you to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ. But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.”

How quickly are we led astray? How much do we really need to know to follow Christ? When are the questions helpful and when do they act as dead weight?

God, thank You for this beautiful world to explore. Please help me to understand what I need to know, what I do not need to know, and what I can leave for later. Thank You for another beautiful day! Amen.
